Dirk Tavenner brought the heat to Salt Lake City as he claimed his first Gold Medal at the Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo with a smokin’ run of 3.5 seconds in the Final Round following an arena record breaking run of 3.0 seconds flat in Performance No. 4.
At the start of the season, Tavenner was sidelined due to an injury and has worked his way up to No. 12 in the World Standings following a display of consistency and perseverance.
“It’s been a blur, we start at the bottom and work our way to the top,” Tavenner said.
Tavenners hard work has paid off as he claimed the Gold Medal at the Utah Days of ’47 along side fellow Idaho cowboy Stetson Jorgenson and Riley Reiss.
