After having the fastest time of the Long Round, barrel racer Destri Devenport barely qualified for the winner-take-all Finals at Rodeo Austin.
Luckily, she saved the best for last and recorded the fastest time of the rodeo with a 15.31 second run to earn one of the biggest wins of her barrel racing career.
“I’ve been to a lot of rodeos and this has by far been the best,” Devenport said. “There’s nothing like running home on a horse like Titan and hearing the crowd yell.”
Devenport, who had less than $4,000 total coming into Austin, won more close to $14,000 for the event.
