Despite Injury, Boudreaux Campbell takes Top Spot on Night One in Odessa

Following performance on Thursday night at the Sandhills Stock Show & Rodeo, Boudreaux Campbell met up with The Cowboy Channel’s Amy Wilson.

They talk about his 84-point ride on Powder River Rodeo’s 634, the local hockey team cheering him on from the stands, and Boudreaux’s upcoming surgery on Monday.

During the NFR in December, Boudreaux fractured a bone in his hand and will need a screw to be put in to reset the bone. “I won’t be out but a month or two, but hopefully it’s a fast recovery and I come back stronger,” he says.

Despite his injury, Boudreaux turned in the highest score of the night in Odessa, going 84 points on Powder River Rodeo’s Axel. He’s currently sharing the top spot on the leaderboard with Jace Trosclair who also went 84 points on night one at the Sandhills Stock Show & Rodeo.

See if they can hold their lead throughout the rodeo, which we are bringing you live from Odessa each night at 8:30PM ET!
