Deklan Garland ended up with the bull every cowboy wanted in the Short Round of the Dodge City Roundup Rodeo. The PRCA rookie made an 88.5-point ride on Frontier Rodeo’s Glory Days to add the win to his accomplishments.
He had seen videos of the bull and spoke with his traveling partner and his game plan was wait and see, as he knew Glory Days went both left and right. It paid off in a big way.
“The rodeo trail, this is my first year at it. I never knew how mentally hard it would be, going to rodeo to rodeo to rodeo. I haven’t been home since the end of March and it was definitely getting to me. And then to turn it around here in the Long Round and strap something, it was definitely a big boost,” Garland said.
It is a much needed boost as the season carries on for Garland.
