Daxton Feild Talks World Championship Junior Arena, Rodeo Goals and Family

Bareback riding legacy Daxton Feild is working towards his own goals in the arena.

The World Championship Junior Rodeo is heading to the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the end of June and one of the names on the draw is none other than Daxton Feild, a cowboy that some say is a rising star.

“That’s a pretty big statement, to say rising star. I don’t feel like that, I feel like I’m jus trying to work hard. I’m not quite a star yet. I need a few more years to get some more horses under me before I call myself a star,” Feild said.

Feild’s success so far includes being first in the Qualifier and fifth in the Championship Round to land his place at the Lazy E this summer.

“My dad and Kaycee kind of held me back for a little while, more than some other kids wouldv’e. I didn’t get to get on a bucking horse until I was 16 and at the time it really sucked but now I can see how much it really benefited me,” he said.

The 18-year-old is feeling fresh and healthy with big goals. He currently sits No. 2 in the WCRA Junior Division Standings and having the legendary Kaycee Feild and his father, Shad, in his corner have him perfecting his craft to make his own path in rodeo.
