Dawson Hay Earns Another Texas Swing Win by Way of San Angelo Rodeo

Dawson Hay got San Angelo Rodeo started in a big way with a 90.5-point ride in Round 1 on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s South Point Gambler. He followed it up with 88 points on Championship Pro Rodeo’s Secret Agent to win it all.

“I’ve just got to thank God for all these amazing opportunities I’ve had, getting to ride in front of these great crowds. And every horse out tonight went out and bucked really hard, it’s a great feeling riding with all these guys and it’s just awesome being a bronc rider right now,” Hay said.

As a bronc rider known for putting big scores on the boards, Hay followed through in San Angelo. He was also 90.5 in the Finals of Fort Worth to get the win at the first Texas Swing Rodeo, giving him bookend wins during one of the season’s most pivotal stretchs.

Just two weeks ago, Hay was No. 14, but with this win has he is now sitting No. 7 in the PRCA World Standings.
