Damian Brennan Stays No. 1 in Saddle Bronc Resistol Rookie of the Year Race

It is Damian Brennan from Australia who holds on to the No. 1 in the Resistol Rookie Race after bringing in more than $7,000 over Cowboy Christmas. His highest marked ride over the fourth came from St. Paul Rodeo on Big Bend Rode’s Crash Gate while Oakley Independence Day Rodeo and Molalla Buckeroo added to his earnings as well.

Sitting second is Canada’s Lucas Macza who is trailing Brennan by just less than $10,000 while the youngest Wright, Statler, sits third with $31,352 after he went into Cowboy Christmas on a wave of momentum from his performance at Reno Rodeo.

Rounding out the top five of the Rookie Standings is Cash Wilson and Brody Wells. Wilson’s biggest check of Cowboy Christmas was picked up in Prescott and Wells did well in Red Lodge, Montana and Mobridge, South Dakota.

The saddle bronc rookie race has been one to watch all year and it keeps getting better.
