Dalton Massey’s regular season set him ahead of the rest as he came into his first National Finals Rodeo. He left no doubt that he belongs here with his Round 1 winning time of 3.5 seconds.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment for my whole life and I liked my steer tonight, horse worked great, Tanner hazed him great and I’m just super excited. I’ve got my family here, it’s going to be a great week,” Massey said.
Massey got the win by three tenths over the No. 2 cowboy in the Round, Tyler Waguespack. The fight is on for that coveted Gold Buckle.
