Dakota Eldridge holds two National Finals Rodeo Average titles and his hunting for that first World Championship as he heads into his ninth NFR. He currently sits No. 8 in the PRCA World Standings, and a Gold Buckle could be within reach for the Nevada native.
Look back at some of his regular season highlights.
BIGGEST PAYDAYS
San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, $18,750
Placing second in Rounds 1 and 2 of Bracket 5 before getting the win in Round 3, Eldridge easily qualified for the Semifinal. From there, he moved on to the Final Round and cashed in on over $18,500 while in Texas.
Calgary Stampede, $15,500
At the greatest outdoors show on Earth, Eldridge would end up going all the way to the Semifinals and mis the Showdown Round by just three tenths of a second. His fastest run of the rodeo came in the Wildcard Round when he stopped the clock at 4.0 seconds to battle back for his chance at the title.
FASTEST TIMES
Fiesta Days Rodeo, 3.5 seconds
Tying for the First Round win, Eldridge threw down what would become his fastest run of the regular season in Utah. A 3.5 and he took home over $3,000.
Bozeman Stampede, 3.6 seconds
Coming in as the second fastest time of Eldridge’s regular season was his run in Bozeman, Montana at the Bozeman Stampede. Stopping the clock at 3.6 seconds he tied for a second place finish.
NOTABLE WINS
San Angelo Rodeo, 11.1 on three
In Texas, Eldridge stayed steady in the first two rounds of San Angelo before he went on to win the Final Round with a 3.5 second run. This would make him No. 1 in the average and get him the win.
