Curtis Cassidy’s Smooth 3.6-Second Run Puts Him at the Top of Rodeo Austin Leaderboard

Curtis Cassidy backed into the box at Rodeo Austin and did what we all know the veteran bull dogger to do. He stopped the clock at 3.6 seconds to go to the lead by just two tenths of a second.

“Tyson gave me a great chance but I also had a great steer and you need to have both of them to make great runs. I was just glad that I got that great steer and got the chance to use it to my ability and yeah, it was a good night. I’m happy,” Cassidy said.

For many cowboys, Cassidy’s great horse, Tyson, is their mount of choice. Cassidy said a horse like him is extremely hard to find and he is extremely fortunate to have Tyson.

Rounding out the current Top 3 in the steer wrestling at Rodeo Austin is Kyle Irwin and Grady Payne with the only other sub 4-second runs.
