Cooper Cooke’s Semifinals Rematch with Shady Nights Gets the Bareback Rider a Victory Lap in San Antonio

Cooper Cooke puts a score of 87.5 points on the board aboard one of Pickett Pro Rodeo’s best.

Cooper Cooke has done it again. He picked up a round win in his bracket and on Friday night, he picked up a win in the Semifinals.

He knew his matchup for the Semifinals well as he drew Shady Nights of Pickett Pro Rodeo in Fort Worth just a few weeks ago.

“I got on that horse in Fort Worth and was 89 points and it was phenomenal. I saw the list and was like that’s a great chance to go and do some good in the Semifinals,” he said.

Cooke, the current World No. 2, is gunning for his first National Finals Rodeo qualification and the fire is lit. He has been 87.5 or more three times this year, with two of them coming on Shady Nights.

Also moving on from Semifinals 1 in the bareback riding is Keenan Hayes, Kade Sonnier, Luke Thrash and Cole Reiner.
