Shad Mayfield came up one tenth short at the San Angelo Cinch Chute Out, but we couldn’t let him go home nothing for his incredible run in front of some of the best fans in rodeo.
The 2020 World Champion was second to go in the three man Finals and and pumped up the crowd after turning in a 6.9 second run. Unfortunately, Shane Hanchey was 6.8 on the very next run.
The win earned Hanchey, who is a World Champion himself, $7,500 and the Community Coffee Run of the Week last week. For his work, Mayfield won $3,000.
