Colorado Steer Wrestler Cody Mumma Moves on to Semifinals in Denver

It was a home state cowboy who dominated Pool Three of the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo. Cody Mumma threw down a 4.8-second run in Round 1 before being even faster in Round 2 with a 4.4.

“Nerves were definitely less but I was earlier out so I think seeing less guys go is usually easier on my nerves. So I like being earlier in the round. Most guys like to see more people run and everything but for me, the less I can think about the better,” Mumma said about his mindset for Round Two.

The collegiate wrestler turned fighter now bulldogger is moving on to the Semifinals in Denver on Jan. 21.
