Cole Reiner and Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Nightcrawler Top the Leaderboards at Darby Xtreme Bareback

Wyoming’s Cole Reiner put together two impressive bareback rides in Montana over the weekend to win the Darby Xtreme Bareback.

Cole Reiner’s 87.5-point ride in Section 3 of the Darby Xtreme Bareback set him up just right for a shot in the Short Go. A familiar matchup was all the Wyoming cowboy needed and he capitalized to be the champion.

This would be Reiner’s second trip this season on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Nightcrawler and it would be event better than the first. After eight seconds of pure adrenaline-filled action, Reiner put a 92-point ride on top of the leaderboard.

“What they say a horse is what you dream of with a bucking horse, that’s the one right there. As soon as I knew what I had, I knew all I had to do was do my job and that horse was going to take care of me,” Reiner said.

The two met earlier this year for 89 points in San Antonio and when combined with the win in Darby, Reiner has cashed in on close to $25,000 on Nightcrawler.

“They’ve won this rodeo before on him so I’m super grateful and I know I don’t look excited but I’m super excited,” he said.
