Cole Patterson Wins National Circuit Steer Roping Finals

Cole Patterson took the National Circuit Steer Roping Finals title after going 10 seconds flat. Patterson joined WSR to talk about his big win over the weekend.

“Steers were excellent up there, it was super easy to draw good and kind of make it a roping contest for us. I went and checked the draw anyways and had a really good steer. Made a few mistakes, but it still worked out.”

The win also came with a National Circuit Finals Steer Roping record of $10,786.

“I can’t believe that’s a record because I had a trainwreck the first day and won about $500.”

Cole plans to head to Oklahoma next weekend to see if he can continue his big season as he currently sits number one in the PRCA World Standings.
