Clayton Sellars covered Frontier Rodeo’s Ringo for 86.5 points and took home a massive payday as the only one to make the whistle in the Triple Crown Round of Rodeo Corpus Christi.
“This game is a hard game, you gotta take every bit of momentum you have and just keep your faith in God and keep putting your hand in that rope,” he said. “Man, it’s been a great year so far.”
With the win, Sellars also advanced straight to the Redemption Round of the PBR World Finals, which is My 15 and 16 inside Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth.
It marked the second time Sellars has been on Ringo in the last six weeks with the first time bringing the same result, 86.5 points. That one came at the PRCA’s Lawton Xtreme Bulls.
“That bull is really good, big strong bull that bucks really hard, honest as the day is long,” he said. “If you ride like you’re supposed to, you should stay on him and get a good score, what’s not to love.”
