Clayton Biglow and Calgary Stampede’s Blasting Sand matched up for the high score of RodeoHouston on Night No. 1 with 88 points.
“That was a young horse of Calgary’s, I didn’t really know much about it. I’d seen it last week in San Antonio, I take that back, and it was good there. I knew I had a good shot and whenever you’re getting on Calgary horses you know they’re going to buck,” he said.
This go-round win adds $3,000 to Biglow’s earnings and makes him the cowboy to beat going into Round 2 with Richmond Champion and Tim O’Connell hot on his heels.
