After a career-best 91.25-point ride in Round 2 of the PBR World Finals Eliminations, Clay Guiton catapulted himself into the top 5 in the rankings and firmly into the World Title race. His dominant performance in Round 2 earned him a round win and set the tone for what is becoming a breakout week.
“It’s a pretty surreal feeling,” Guiton said. “That’s what I’ve been chasing my whole life.”
Guiton shows no signs of slowing down. In Round 3, he drew a bull named ‘Let’s Roll’ from Brandon Stewart—a matchup he was more than happy with.
“If I could’ve hand-picked one, that’s probably the one I would’ve picked,” Guiton said. “He’s an honest bull—you can have a good ride and be in the high 80s on him.” Later that night, he proved himself right, sticking the ride for 87.25 points.
Earlier this season, Clay Guiton hovered near the cut line for the Unleash The Beast tour. But during a stop in Albuquerque, he made a shift in mindset.
“I told myself I need to be fighting for a World Title, not just trying to stay on tour.” Since then, he’s done exactly that—now sitting at No. 5 in the world standings.
“Getting here means a lot— it’s something I’ve dreamed of since I was a little kid,” Guiton said.
Now with momentum on his side, he’s in the thick of the race for a World Title.
