Wenda Johnson is the Circle Y WPRA Athlete of the Week as she secured checks in Stephenville, Texas and Omaha, Nebraska over the weekend to add $3,717 to her total earnings.
Johnson locked in a time of 16.93 seconds at the Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo to claim the No. 3 spot, following behind fellow Top 15 cowgirls Sissy Winn and Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi.
Johnson then headed North to the Omaha River City Rodeo where she stopped the clock in 14.07 seconds to secure the title and a check for $1,840.
Sitting at No. 8 in the WPRA World Standings, Johnson is is preparing to make her fourth appearance at the National Finals Rodeo this December with $111,700 in earnings.
