Jordi Edens is your Circle Y WPRA Athlete of the week as she not only claimed the win at the Kennewick Breakaway Roping but did so with a time of 2.0 seconds flat in the Final Round to tie the brand new arena record.
Edens kicked off her time in Kennewick with a win in Go-Round No. 1 as she stopped the clock at 2.2 seconds to pull a check for just over $3,000.
In the Final Round it seemed as though fellow breakaway roper, Macy Young, had secured the win as she turned in a 2.0-second run to set the new arena record, however, Edens followed up with a quick run to match Young’s time. The cowgirls split first place in the Finals but thanks to Eden’s success in Round 1, she finished out at the top with an aggregate time of 4.2 seconds on two head.
Two Go-Round wins and the No. 1 spot in the Average secured Edens a check for $8,632 in Kennewick as she now sits No. 22 in the World Standings.
