The 125th Cheyenne Frontier Days concluded on Sunday, and it was one to remember.

Twelve contestants in each event advanced from the Semifinals to compete in the winner-takes-all Championship round, with Stetson Wright being the standout of the day.

Not only did the reigning Bull Riding and All-Around World Champion qualify for the finals in both the bronc and bull riding, he won the saddle bronc riding title, becoming the first member of the Wright family dynasty to ever do so in Cheyenne. Going on to place fourth in the bulls, Stetson also took home his second consecutive All-Around title at The Daddy of ‘em All.

Tie-down roper Marty Yates likewise won a second Cheyenne championship with a 10.3 second run, as did No. 1 in the Bareback Riding World Standings Tim O’Connell, going 89 points on Sankey’s Irish Eyes and widening the gap between him and No. 2 man Tilden Hooper, who finished third.

In the barrel racing, Hailey Kinsel turned in the second fastest time of the rodeo (17.30 seconds) to get the win , after turning in fastest time (17.22 seconds) in the qualifiers.

Finishing out the day, Australian bull rider Ky Hamilton went 89 points on Stace Smith Pro Rodeo’s #546 — the highest marked ride overall in the bull riding.
