Chase Brooks Rides into Fifth NFR Ranked 13th in the World

Chase Brooks is headed to his fifth consecutive National Finals Rodeo and although he comes in at No. 13 in the PRCA World Standings, the Montana cowboy is never to be counted out.

Brooks had an outstanding winter and his summer run brought in success as well. After finish just shy of a World Championship in 2021 at No. 4 in the World, Brooks will be chasing big scores inside the Thomas and Mack to see what he can do.

Until then, look back at some of the unforgettable moments from his 2022 season.

BIGGEST PAYDAY

Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, $14,520

Brooks got his FWSSR started out right when he went 89 points on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Delta Dawn in Round 1 of Bracket 5. He won that round along with Round 2 earning his sport in the Semifinal. He went on to make it to the Final Round where he went 87 points to tie for second.

San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, $20,500

In Bracket 5 of the SASSR, Brooks dominated. Winning the Second Round with 88 points and third round with 86 points. After finishing third in the Semifinals he qualified for the Final Round.

HIGHEST MARKED RIDES

Guymon Pioneer Days, 88 points

Brooks matched up with a flashy paint in Guymon, Oklahoma right before the summer run kicked off. The pair went for 88 points and finished up second to cash in almost $3,000.

Calgary Stampede, 88.5 points

In Canada, it would be the fourth round of Pool A that Brooks got the win in. An 88.5 point ride on Macza Pro Rodeo’s Little Sister would help hi, solidify his spot in the Semifinals and be one of Brooks’ highest rides of the year.

NOTABLE WINS

Golden Spike Rodeo, 87 Points

In Tremonton, Utah, Brooks and Bar T Rodeo’s Wild Side matched up to be 85.5 and split the win. The day before the Golden Spike Rodeo was the Golden Spike PRCA Bronc Riding Classic and Brooks got the win there as well with 87 points on Johnny Be Good.

Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Frontier Days and PRCA Rodeo, 88 Points

One of Brooks’ high scores came in Weatherford, Texas. Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s River’s Ghost was the horse that Brooks would go 88 points on to win it all.
