Carly Taylor and her mare, Diva, are used to having success and it was no different during their performance at Rodeo Austin.
Taylor and Diva stopped the clock at 15.77 to be just one tenth off of Loni Lester’s run that is currently leading it. Coming from Houston to Austin is a big difference in barrels but Taylor got the job done.
“It’s super different. Houston you’ve got the barrels way off the fence, here they’re on the fence and there’s walls. It felt a little tough to get around them,” Taylor said.
It might have been tough, but it was good enough to get them onto the leaderboard. The duo makes running in Austin look easy.
“She’s awesome. She can be very sassy but when it comes time to do her job she locks in,” Taylor said on her equine partner Diva.
They were the fast time of performance three, now we just wait and see if a 15.77 is enough to bring them back for more at Rodeo Austin.
