Scott Guenthner has semi-retired from professional rodeo. These days you can find him rodeoing close to home in Canada and that includes the Calgary Stampede, where he picked up a Pool B Round 1 win yesterday with a time of 3.3 seconds.
“Not going all the time and being home with my family has been a big thing, having my two boys along and my wife at majority of the big rodeos up here has been nice. And then practicing a little more… try to fix little things I maybe, kind of floated over top in my career before now try to just fine tune it. I’m not trying to make the NFR but I guess if it happens that I can make it, maybe one time,” he said.
Guenthner has been to the NFR four times and he semiretired following his trip to Las Vegas in 2021. If the Calgary Stampede continues in his favor, he just might make that trip again.
