Scott Guenthner has been semiretired and sticking to rodeos close to home in Canada, one of those rodeos happened to be the Calgary Stampede. The Consort, Alberta steer wrestler walked away as the 2023 Calgary Stampede Champion.
“It’s a dream come true. I rodeoed for a few years down south and I’ve now kind of semi-retired because of these two and I love them to death. So, I’ll probably stay semi-retired and stay up here,” Guenthner said about winning with his two boys there to watch.
Guenthner said he stuck to the basics on a steer he knew you could be fast on and he threw down the fastest, penalty free run of the 2023 Calgary Stampede at 3.2 seconds.
