Cameron Morman smoked the field in Cheyenne, winning Thursday’s performance by 2.5 seconds.
Morman says he knew he had a good draw and had to take advantage.
“I probably drew the best steer in the entire herd. He’s been good, my traveling partner ran him in North Platte, people have been placing on him all year.”
Morman heard from other Steer Wrestlers that this was the steer to place on, something that he clearly appreciated.
“It’s awesome. Steer Wrestlers have great comradery Everybody helps everybody.”
Morman advanced to the weekend with the run and will search for his first-career Cheyenne Frontier Days win.
