Caleb Bennett and Jess Pope tied atop bareback riding at Caldwell Night Rodeo

Two bareback riders in the Top 6 are tied in Caldwell, Idaho after they both rode for 84 points on Tuesday night.

Jess Pope, who is sixth in the world, matched up with Powder River Dirty Temptation and No. 4-ranked Bennett had Burch Rodeo’s Fire Fly.

“I’ve seen that horse a handful of times, she’s really showy, jumps in the air,” Bennett said. “Gives a guy a chance to show off......She was a little testier today than I’ve seen her in the past.”

As for Pope, he said his ride was a lot of work, and now he hopes it holds for Saturday’s Short Round.
