The Caldwell Night Rodeo gets underway on August 15 and features the best rodeo athletes across the country competing for their share of nearly $400,000.
FORMAT
Caldwell has two different formats for roughstock and timed events. For roughstock, it is a simple one-header in the Long Round with the Top 12 advancing to the Finals on Saturday. After the Finals, an Average champion is crowned. In all timed events, there are two Long Rounds with the 12 fastest on two heading to the Finals where the best on three will be crowned champion. In bull riding, it is the best on one throughout the rodeo, with the highest score taking the title. All of the action will be on The Cowboy Channel and The Cowboy Channel+ App.

Performance 1 (Tuesday, August 15)
Things start hot in Caldwell with 2022 World Champion Bareback Rider Jess Pope taking on Moccasin Fringe. Pope will be riding alongside younger brother Ty, World No. 2 Leighton Berry, No. 13 Richmond Champion, and No. 15 Sam Petersen.
In saddle bronc riding, Stetson Wright highlights the field ad is competing against Sage Newman, Wade Sundell and Layton Green, among others.
No. 1 Tie-Down Roper Riley Webb is first out on Tuesday and is looking to grow his $75,000 lead in the PRCA World Standings.
Performance 2 (Wednesday, August 16)
On Wednesday, Dean Thompson looks to continue his hot streak. Thompson won the bareback riding in at the Farm-City Pro Rodeo (Oregon) over the weekend with an 87-point ride. He will be competing against Jacob Lees, Donny Proffit, and more.
Performance 3 (Thursday, August 17)
The No. 1 bareback rider takes center stage on Thursday. Keenan Hayes looks to continue his record-breaking rookie season in Caldwell. Tim O’Connell, Kade Sonnier, Cole Franks, and Wyatt Denny are also competing Thursday.
Thursday will also feature a handful of Wrights in saddle bronc riding with Spencer, Statler, Ryder, and Stu all competing. They will be going up against Logan Hay, Ben Andersen, Q Taylor, and others in a loaded field.
Performance 4 (Friday, August 18)
Some of the biggest names in the sport will be competing on Friday. Rocker Steiner, Kaycee Feild, and Mason Clements highlight barevack riding.
Zeke Thurston, Dawson Hay, and Kade Bruno are names to watch in saddle bronc riding. While Hailey Kinsel, Ivy Saebens, and Leslie Smalygo will take a trip around the barrels.
Finally, in bull riding, Tristen Hutchings, Trey Kimzey, and Clayton Sellars are slated to go.
