Two scores of 86 points hold the lead. The No. 1 rookie is Weston Timberman and he will be nodding on Calgary Stampede’s Rum Flavor. The veteran bucking horse is the horse that Kade Sonnier rode for 87.5 points in Puyallup in 2023.

STEER WRESTLING

Paden McIntyre holds the lead in Gooding and that momentum is coming with him into Round 2 in Caldwell. A 4.5-second run will get him into the Round 2 money with only performance to follow.

BREAKAWAY ROPING

Maddy Deerman blew away her competition in 2023 but did not have enough rodeo’s to qualify for the National Finals Breakaway Roping. That has changed in 2024 and she is the No. 7 ranked breakaway roper in the World looking to take over the lead in Caldwell and to do so, she will need to beat 2.3 seconds.
