During Back When They Bucked, Burch Rodeo’s Lunatic Fringe received the special honor of being inducted into the Back When They Bucked Hall of Fame.
“He’s the corner stone of our breeding program. He’s raised two World Champion bucking horses, bucking horse at the NFR, Canadian Horse of the Year, I mean he’s an outstanding stallion and very blessed to have them guys do this for us,” said Matt Burch.
It was a surprise to the Burch Family, they found out the night before that Lunatic Fringe would be honored and it was then that Matt made the call to have the legendary stallion brought to Deadwood.
“He was a horse that everybody wanted on, a horse they could win on. And then after we retired him, he went on to being a producer… He’s a once in a lifetime horse. He really is,” Burch said.
Lunatic Fringe might be 20 years old but if you were in Deadwood on the night of his induction, you saw for yourself, he is looking as good as ever with this brand new award added to his long lists of accomplishments.
