Bull Riding Rookie Bubba Greig Stays on Hot Streak

Bubba Greig is a hot topic right now. He has been cashing big checks since the beginning of the season and it is not about to slow down as he is up at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in Bracket Four and doing well at large rodeos with loud crowds seems to come naturally to the rookie.

“That seems like I’m comfortable at, you know you’ve got big crowds and bulls that buck,” Greig said.

At the National Western, Greig rode three out of four bulls. He went for 83 points in Round 1, 85 points in the semifinals and it was 89 points in the Final Round on To Light The Torch of Cervi Championship Rodeo’s to be the Reserve Champion.

Greig cashed in his highest earnings from Denver but his highest point ride came from Bulls in the Ballpark in Austin, Texas in November 2021. Greig went 90.5 points on Record Rack’s Coupe De Ville to win the event and add over $10,000 to his 2022 season earnings.

Greig is currently sitting No. 2 in the World Standings as well as the Resistol Rookie Standings.
