Trey Kimzey is entering his second National Finals Rodeo as the No. 8 bull rider in the World.

The Oklahoma cowboy has had one of the best regular seasons of his career earning over $113,000 before going into Las Vegas. With two rides over 90 points and cashing in solid checks all season long, Kimzey has set himself up well for the upcoming ten rides in the Thomas and Mack.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, $12,400

Kimzey battled through Bracket 1 to come back after the Wild Card Round and get the win in Semifinals 2 with an 85.5 point ride on J Bar J’s Loaded Dice and qualify for the Finals in February. His 85-point ride would get him a third-place finish and he would take home over $12,000 early in the season.

HIGHEST MARKED RIDES

Xtreme Bulls & Broncs, 91 points

As the season was winding down, Kimzey’s performance in Oklahoma City at the Xtreme Bulls & Broncs was his highest marked ride of the season. On Powder River Rodeo’s Top Shelf, he marked 91 points and took home the event win.

St. Paul Rodeo, 90.5 points

In St. Paul, Oregon aboard Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics’ Tool Box, Kimzey would get a second place finish that would be good enough to cash in over $9,000 and help him keep climbing the World Standings.

NOTABLE WINS

La Fiesta De Los Vaqueros, 167.5 Points on Two

At the Tucson, Arizona Rodeo Kimey would make two rides that totaled an event win and over $9,000. With 83.5 points in Round 1 and an 84-point ride in the Finals he captured both the Final Round and average win.
