Rookie Bubba Greig was 90.5 points on Friday night to take the lead in Bulls in the Ballpark and his score barely held up on Saturday as he edged out Ruger Piva by a half-point.
Greig was on Beutler & Son’s Record Rack’s Coupe De Ville, a previously unridden bull that is consistently marked in the low 40s.
“I really didn’t know what he’d be, but I came here figuring he’d be good and he turned out great,” Greig said. “I was real excited to come get on here because it’s a cool bull riding in this venue.”
Piva took second in the one-header event with his 90-point ride on Record Rack’s Viper and Fletcher Jowers, the 2020 champion, was third with 88 points.
Greig won $10,575 for the victory.
