Brody Cress Kicks off 2024 Season by Splitting the Win at Brad Gjermundson Extreme Broncs

Brody Cress has claimed his second Brad Gjermundson Extreme Broncs title in New Town, North Dakota.

“This is the biggest bronc match we get to go to. To have it kick off the 2024 season and have it build up towards the Finals, being able to come here and put together three good rides and get the wins, it’s really going to help my momentum,” Cress said.

Three rounds of solid matchups with J Bar J broncs put Cress in the perfect position to win it all again. His Round 1 horses was Freckled At Night and the two were 86.5 points. He followed it up with an 84.5 on Closing Time before he was 85.5 in the Finals on Painted Commotion.

“I get to getting in my own head sometimes and slowing myself down so when I can come here like this and just stay out of my own head and just ride bucking horses, it makes it fun, it feels good and I’m ready to get on more,” he said.

There is no question that this win kicked off his 2024 season in a big way, the now seven-time National Finals qualifier’s first pay day of the new season came in at $20,422 as he is the Brad Gjermundson Extreme Broncs Co-Champion.
