Bridger Anderson Ties Talon Roseland at the Top in Austin on Wednesday Night

Talon Roseland set the mark to beat with a 3.9 second run in RodeoAustin’s steer wrestling Long Go Tuesday, but one night later, it was matched by Bridger Anderson.

Anderson’s run almost did not happen on Wednesday night, however. He miscalculated how long it would take to get to Austin, so he pulled into the parking lot at 7:03 p.m. for the 7 p.m. performance. Luckily, he had enough time to saddle his horse Whiskers and make a stellar run.

“It’s not something really to be proud of,” he said with a laugh. “We pretty much ran right into the arena and ran out steer.....Stockton (Graves) called and said I had a good one, I’m just happy we got to run it.”

In Austin, each athlete gets just one attempt to qualify for the Semifinals. Action continues through the Championship Round on March 26 and you can watch every performance on The Cowboy Channel or The Cowboy Channel+.
