Blake Knowles said because he’s had some time between his four NFR appearances, he’s learned to treasure the experience more. This year, he’ll have plenty of fond memories to look back on as he won Round Eight to go along with his Round One victory.
“I’ve sat on the couch and watched it, and it’s way more fun to be here,” he said.
He stopped the clock at 3.6 seconds on Thursday.
“This is maybe the best steer wrestling that I’ve ever put together,” he said. “Fortunate to have good cattle, riding a great horse....I’m pretty pumped.”
KNOWLES’ RUN
Jacob Edler and Stetson Jorgensen both placed in Round Eight to remain No. 1 and 2 in the average.
In the world standings, Matt Reeves remains in first by a slim margin with Jorgensen in second and Edler in third.
Dakota Eldrige is still lurking as well, he’s fourth in the world and the average.
