Best Moments of 2021: Wade Sundell after winning Long Go at Xtreme Broncs Finals

In a round that had eight saddle bronc riders, Wade Sundell won the Long Round at the Xtreme Broncs Finals in Rapid City with an 88.5-point ride on Gangster.

“This is awesome, it’s been a long time since I’ve been home,” he said afterward. “Been busting trail, I’m down there on that bubble.”

The Go-Round win gave Sundell, who was outside the Top 20 at the time, a check of $8,545 and put him into NFR contention. The next night, he would ride for 90 in the Short Round to placed third in the round and second in the Average and take home more than $23,000 from the event.

The Xtreme Broncs Finals helped power Sundell to his first NFR since 2018.
