Ben Andersen and C5 Rodeo’s Black Jack Go 86-Points to Set Bar at Ponoka Stampede

Ben Andersen and C5 Rodeo’s Black Jack went toe-to-toe on their home terf in Canada. It was an 86-point ride that went to No. 1 at the Ponoka Stampede.

Without knowing much about Black Jack and new stirrup leathers on his saddle, Andersen said he did a lot of lifting but it was a lot of fun.

“Honestly, just keep to the basics. Good spur out, lift on your rein and when the bobber drops, go ahead… It worked out pretty good,” Andersen said.

Andersen is the No. 9 ranked saddle bronc rider in the PRCA World Standings with $66,482 to his name and he is looking to add to it from the Ponoka Stampede.
