Bayleigh Choate on Her Horse Boozer

No. 1 Resistol Rookie barrel racer Bayleigh Choate wouldn’t be in this position without her horse, Boozer.

Boozer helped Choate win a qualifier for Fort Worth and win the Semifinals in Austin, two runs that helped spark her first professional season.

“He has so much heart, I feel like he understands,” she said. “That’s one thing about him, he is always going to try.”

Boozer’s registered name is TJR Stinson Blue and came from the bloodline of Eddie Stinson, a horse owned by the Twisted J Ranch whose offspring have won nearly $4 million in barrel races.

“I love an Eddie, the biggest thing I learned is they pick you to be their person, you don’t really pick them.”
