The second annual Battle Born Broncs is bringing your top cowboys and the best bucking horses to Fallon, Nevada. It is a stacked roster that will be a dog fight to see who walks away the champions.
Rocker Steiner and Damian Brennan are the defending champions both returning to go for that second title but the match ups in tonight’s event will be tough. Both the bareback riding and the saddle bronc riding have a few standouts to watch for.
BAREBACK RIDING
Rocker Steiner VS. Mlw’s Irish Eyes, Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics
Steiner currently sits No. 3 in the PRCA World Standings, holds the world record in bareback riding with a 95 and has been on some legendary horses. One horse he has not been on? Mlw’s Irish Eyes. The National Finals bucking horse that has helped the likes of Tilden Hooper, Cole Reiner, Tim O’Connell and more find their way to the pay window.
Clayton Biglow VS. Bronc Riding Nation, Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics
A huge rematch coming in the bareback riding is World Champion Clayton Biglow and another NFR bucking horse, Bronc Riding Nation. Biglow won the first round of Bracket 7 at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo with a 90-point ride on the horse. Biglow sits No. 5 in the World coming into Fallon.
Mason Clements VS. Two Buck Chuck, Powder River Rodeo
According to PRCA Stock State, Clements and big paint stallion have never gone toe-to-toe. Clements has been very selective with where he has entered this year and has lately been on a roll bringing in over $8,000 in just two weeks. Two Buck Chuck has also taken it easy this year with only four outs.
SADDLE BRONC RIDING
Cash Wilson VS. Lunatic From Hell, Burch Rodeo
Wilson has matched up with one of Burch Rodeo’s most legendary broncs. Lunatic From Hell has taken World Champions like Zeke Thurston and Wade Sundell to the top of the leaderboard and is known for his big rear out of the bucking chutes. Wilson has four wins under his belt for this season and will climb on to Lunatic From Hell for the very first time tonight.
Ryder Wright VS. Bet The Ranch, Powder River
A rematch is in store for the two-time World Champion. In June of last year, Bet The Ranch got the best of Ryder at the Ute Mountain Round-Up in Colorado. In 2022, only one cowboy lasted the eight seconds on this horse while so far in 2023, two rides have been made and one of those was Stetson Wright. Ryder will be coming back tonight on Bet The Ranch with redemption on his mind.
Lefty Holman VS. Miss Valley, Powder River Rodeo
Another first-time duo is California’s Holman and Wyoming’s Miss Valley. Holman sits just outside the Top 15 in the PRCA World Standings but a big score on this NFR bronc might be just what pushes him up. Her last out was in Gillette, Wyoming at the New Years Eve Buck & Ball where Sage Newman rode her for 90.5 points.
