Barrel Racer Stevi Hillman Eyes Semifinals After Three Smooth Runs in San Antonio

Stevi Hillman jockies her way to the No. 1 spot in Bracket 4 of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

Stevi Hillman’s trip to San Antonio has been consistent as ever. With three sub 14 second runs, she won two rounds and placed in the third to add $6,500 to her earnings and make her the No. 1 cowgirl moving on from Bracket 4.

“She tries so hard and I’m just grateful to come to a rodeo like this, you know it’s a little deeper here, but to be fifth on the ground is nothing. They drag half way, we appreciate that. I’m so grateful for that little mare and this rodeo,” Hillman said.

Success finds Hillman in the summer and now, it is coming her way this winter.

Joining Hillman in the Semifinals from Bracket 4 is defending San Antonio Champion Kassie Mowry along with Summer Kosel and Hayln Lide.

Mowry placed in Round 1 before finding her footing and winning Round 3. Kosel placed in Rounds 2 and 3 while Lide finished second in a round to squeeze into the Top 4 and advance.
