STEVE WRUBEL

Shelley Morgan is now a four-time National Finals Rodeo Qualifier. She had an amazing regular season aboard her phenomenal mare Kiss to be sitting No. 6 in the WPRA World Standings.

Morgan and Kiss had success in Las Vegas last year during their first trip to the Thomas and Mack together. They placed in five out of ten rounds and took home over $107,000. If they do it again this year, Morgan could possibly cross the million-dollar earnings mark in the WPRA.

With less than one month until Round 1, look back at some of their regular season highlights.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

Washington State Fair, $16,050

Morgan smoked her first performance in Washington with a 13.64 before placing second in the second round to earn a spot in the Semifinals. With a 13.85 she won the Semifinals and finished second in the Final Round.

NFR Open, $19,107

At the inaugural NFR Open in Colorado Springs, Morgan stayed consistent to pull checks in all rounds and the average. Her fastest run of the rodeo came in the Semifinals being 17.22 seconds before she went on to finish third in the Finals.

California Rodeo Salinas, 16.04 seconds

Morgan pulled a significant check from Salinas when she ran the second fastest time of the entire rodeo. Stopping the clock at 16.04 in the second round she cinched the round win and $2,500 to help keep her safe inside the Top 10 in the World.

Reno Rodeo, 17.03 seconds

At the rodeo that kicks off the summer run, Morgan was able to add to her momentum. In Round 2 of the Reno Rodeo, Morgan and Kiss ran a 17.03 and it ended up being the fourth fastest time of the rodeo and it helped keep them in them in the money in the average.

NOTABLE WINS

Walla Walla Frontier Days, 17.17 seconds

By just one hundredth of a second, Morgan was able to pull out a win in Washington once again. With a 17.17 second run she captured first place and over $3,500 to round out her summer run.

Greeley Stampede, 49.39 on three runs

In Colorado, Morgan pulled ahead in the average to get the win after placing in Rounds 1 and 2 as well as winning the Finals with her fastest run of the rodeo.
