Barrel Racer Emily Beisel Locks In Her Fourth Consecutive NFR Qualification

Barrel racer Emily Beisel stayed consistent throughout the 2022 season and claimed the No. 9 spot in the WPRA World Standings with total earnings of $93,964.

This December, the cowgirl will compete in her fourth consecutive National Finals Rodeo along side her equine partner Chongo.

Chongo thrives at the Thomas & Mack for the size that he is and continues to prove year after year that he’s one of the best barrel horses in ProRodeo.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

The Calgary Stampede, $16,500

Beisel earned a check in Rounds 1, 3 and 4 for Pool A at the Calgary Stampede to secure her spot in the Showdown Round where the cowgirl placed fourth, taking home a total of $16,500.

FASTEST RUNS

San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, 13.97 Seconds

Beisel turned in her fastest time of the regular season at the San Antiono Stock Show & Rodeo where she stopped the clock at 13.97 seconds in Round 2 of Bracket 3, earning a check of $2,000. She also won Round 1 of Bracket 3 with 14.03-second run.

West Texas Fair & Rodeo, 17.15 Seconds

As the regular season was quickly coming to a close, Beisel competed in the West Texas Fair & Rodeo in Abilene and cinched the win with a run of 17.15 seconds.

NOTABLE WINS

New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo, 15.28 Seconds

Just three days after her win at the West Texas State Fair & Rodeo, a run of 15.28 seconds earned Beisel the championship at the New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo where she took home $3,819.

101 Wild West Rodeo, 17.17 Seconds

Beisel won over $2,300 by blowing away the rest of the field in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was 17.17 seconds and the next closest cowgirl, Sarah Waguespack, turned in a time of 17.51.
