Richmond Champion was the first cowboy in this year’s Cheyenne Frontier Days to move on by riding for 85 points in the first Quarterfinal on Saturday afternoon. It was a rematch with Stace Smith’s Cactus Black.
Joining Champion in the Semifinals from the first day of bareback riding are Keenan Hayes, Taylor Broussard and Waylon Bourgeois.
“This is perfect and to have Cactus Black of Stace Smith, I was just smiling from ear-to-ear on my way over here last night, I couldn’t wait to do it today,” Champion said.
The Semifinals are Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29 on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.
