Bareback Rider Nick Pelke Strikes Success with Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Win

Nick Pelke cinched his first Texas Swing Championship at Dickies Arena.

Nick Pelke capitalized on his trip to the 2025 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo and after nodding his head on five of professional rodeo’s best bucking horses he is your champion.

“This is a blessing. Fort Worth Short Round, first time you get to be 90 and win it? Let’s go,” Pelke said.

After battling his way into the Semi-Finals through the Wildcard Round, Pelke matched up with J Bar J’s Straight Stick in the Final Round. The win gives him an early start to the season and he is now sitting No. 3 in the PRCA World Standings.

“We’re shooting for the first NFR qualification of my career and we’re just going to ride this high for a while,” he said.

Veteran bareback rider Mason Clements was a close second with a 90.5-point ride while Cole Frank’s 89.5 was third. There was a split for fourth with a pair of 89’s courtesy of Jacob Lees and Bradlee Miller.
