Jamie Howlett will be out the remainder of 2021 to let two separate injuries heal, he announced on Instagram Thursday morning.
Howlett said he had spent the last three weeks riding with a fractured shoulder that may need surgery. He also mentioned needing to rest a knee injury that has been bothering him since 2019.
The Australian is currently No. 15 in the PRCA Bareback Riding World Standings and has won four rodeos this year. He qualified for his first Wrangler NFR in 2020.
