Bareback Rider Cooper Cooke Talks First NFR Qualification on WSR

Cooke is the No. 9 ranked man in the PRCA World Standings

It has finally set in for 22-year-old Cooper Cooke, he is going to his first NFR, and doing so as the ninth ranked bareback rider in the PRCA.

“It’s been a pretty cool moment, especially at my household, we’re getting ready to throw a whole NFR party, it’s kind of getting to me that I need to put some work in, get in the gym, and get ready for it,” he said.

For Cooke, the biggest difference between 2023 when he finished No. 21 and 2024 was confidence, much of which came from winning the Wilderness Circuit Finals last November. He said that setup what was a great Winter Run for him. The moment he made the Four-Man in Houston, he knew he had a good shot at the Finals.
