Stetson Wright, the eight-time PRCA World Champion, isn’t just chasing gold buckles—he’s building a legacy in his own backyard. The Stetson Wright Invitational is back this year with two stops: Mona on May 24 and Minersville, Utah, on May 25, each featuring $30,000 in added money.
The weekend wraps up with the Take the Oath PRCA Xtreme Bulls in Manti, Utah, on May 26. Forming what Wright hopes to become,"The biggest weekend of bullriding in the PRCA.”
“It takes a lot of work to put this on,” said Wright.
Over the years, he has partnered closely with his mom to bring the event to life. Now, with Legacy Pro Rodeo helping produce it, it’s grown to something special.
The idea was born from Wright’s experience seeing big bull ridings happen in places like Texas and Oklahoma. Seeing how often people showed up and how big the events were, he realized he wanted to bring that same energy to Utah.
“I’m a guy everyone knows isn’t satisfied with anything,” he said. “I’m going to keep trying to make the event bigger and bigger every year.”
Wright, now returning after a 14-month break due to injury, reflected on his time away: “It opened my eyes to how lucky I am to get to rodeo.”
Stetson Wright is back on fire in 2025—already sitting No. 1 in the All-Around race, No. 4 in bull riding, and No. 18 in saddle bronc.
