Austin Richardson breaks down all three bull rides from his win at PBR Velocity Tour event in North Dakota

Austin Richardson was the only cowboy to cover three bulls at the PBR Velocity Tour event in Grand Forks, North Dakota last weekend and his win moved him to No. 1 in the Velocity Tour standings and No. 35 in the PBR World Standings.

Richardson took Steve Kenyon through all three of his rides on Western Sports Round-Up earlier this week.

In the first round, he covered Armed & Dangerous for 82 points.

“Some of my friends, they raised him (Armed & Dangerous), he’s just a good bull, around to the left, out through there, I couldn’t have asked for a better first all-around bull,” Richardson said.

In the second round, Richardson rode Rockin’ Robin for 84 points on his first bull Saturday.

“This bull felt awesome, he was around to the right, into my hand, just what a right-handed bull rider wants to get on,” he said. “It was a perfect matchup and I loved it.”

In the Championship Round, Richardson rode The Muley for 86.5 points to seal the win. The bull was raised by Richardson’s good friend and fellow bull rider Maverick Potter and Richardson had been getting on The Muley since he was a teenager.

“It’s just crazy to come on this level of bulls and get on a bull I was getting on when I was younger,” he said.
