The American Military Celebration is a roping for veterans produced by 10-time NFR team roper Charly Crawford.
The event takes place in Stephenville, Texas and serves as a fundraiser for Building Homes for Heroes. The goal is $50,000, which is enough to build two homes for military families.
“Having everybody able to come together in this event, and the donations and the sponsors that have come together to make this what it is, is insane,” Army First Lieutenant Toby Hall said at last year’s American Military Celebration. “Yesterday, I had tears in my eyes when I found out about the cowboy hats being donated to us.”
On Saturday, Oct. 30, The military veterans will get to rope with each other in the morning and with an NFR team roper in the afternoon as part of a Pro/Am. The night concludes with a five-round showdown featuring some of the PRCA’s top team ropers.
There will also be a silent auction Friday and Saturday as well as a live auction on Saturday.
“Last year we put AMC together in 30 days,” Crawford said on his website. “If you think that was cool, wait until you see what we’ve done with 300 days of planning.”
